Recently, I took a trip to Alton Towers, mainly to be able to check out Nemesis Reborn. As you will know during 2023, Nemesis underwent a major refurbishment with most of the track being replaced.

When entering Forbidden Valley, it hits you straight away that major work has taken place with so many changes to fit the area in around the Nemesis story (lets just not talk about Galactica which is now completely out of place).

For me, due to visiting with a friend, I didn’t have a chance to enjoy the revamped queue area, however, even without that you can still see parts of it and, I must admit, it all looks brilliant!

Now of course, they have also done some great work within the station as well, have you spotted the way they now show the row numbers for the seats?

For me, I found in row 4 the two times I went on Nemesis Reborn to be brilliant, it was such a smooth ride and in so many ways the ride felt so much better than how it used to feel!

Another great feature they have introduced is the ‘interactive’ eye for the Nemesis creature, if you watch it long enough you will in fact see the eye interacting with the ride as the train goes past it, now that is something that is very cool!

The changes have not only happened there, Nemesis has now got its very own shop, which is next to the site for Project Ocean!

Now, I can’t stop there with the update for Nemesis Reborn, as in many ways I do feel like the brand new Project Ocean will also become part of the Nemesis story, the construction walls which were put up for the construction site, have the Phalanx logo all over it, could this be a major hint?

Overall, I was very impressed with Nemesis Reborn, you can tell that Merlin Entertments and Alton Towers cared very much about Nemesis and in so many ways, I must admit it has fast become the best-themed ride in the UK overtaking Wickerman!

I just really hope that they are going to do something with Galactica as it very much is no longer suited for the area in it’s current form.
