Today, Thorpe Park has shared a further update on Project Sparkle with plenty taking place!
Sparkle Project ✨
🌀 Colossus – the shop front and lower parts of the tunnels are receiving a lick of deep blue paint, we’ll then hand paint gold celestial markings over. Rockwork repairs are complete in the cobra roll tunnel, these will be repainted to the original red and sandstone textures.
🏁 Stealth – the existing bag store and photo units are fully painted, soon we’ll apply new text to the pelmet, replace the checker patterns, new themed signage over the bag shutters, plus we have the original 2006 scenic artist back to paint a new mural on the photo kiosk wall.
🏁 Stealth – next up, we’ll paint the ride console, megaphones, striped poles, replace the blue fence panels with new graphics, remove the ‘Hot Rod Garage’ and repaint the entrance tire – including hand-painted text. Our landscape team has also been busy replacing the turf leading to the Speedway and within the support planters.
🚾 Hyperia toilets – work has started on the exterior, and new interior walls have started to go up.
🌋 Nemesis Inferno – new shop floor is being laid.
