As posted recently I was planning my trip to Thorpe Park for Fright Nights 2020 and on the 10th and 11th October, I went!

As always with Fright Nights, between 10am – 3pm, its pretty much a ‘normal’ day at Thorpe Park.

But then, from 3pm everything changes and Fright Nights begins!

This year, there were a few changes in how it works due to COVID, so there is only two mazes which you pay extra for to control the numbers going through the mazes.

There is also a few ‘scare zones’ as well which in so many ways, I must admit I rather enjoyed seeing and hope that it’s something which they will do in addition to the mazes.

The two mazes this year was Platform 15 which was in reverse from the normal way of operating and with a brand new ending of which was actually very good!

The second maze, new to Thorpe Park this year was Roots of Evil which also was enjoyable but for me, hands down Platform 15 had to be the best maze of 2020.

Now the other great part of fright nights, of course, is the rides in the dark, which give an even better feeling that’s for sure.

Sadly for 2020 due to all of the restrictions which are in place, the ride queues closed at 8pm compared to the normal 10pm which is a great shame having two hours less than normal of ride time.

Even with social distancing in place, the actors still do a brilliant job and I must admit my heart was racing after going on Platform 15!

The best way I also find to experience the mazes is to do them after dark, it makes the experience even better and even harder for you to spot any actors in hiding!
