Today, I was back.at Thorpe Park and I must say I wasn’t disappointed!
For the full day, Hyperia was being tested with water dummies (lucky them) and not only that both trains were constantly being dispatched, so quickly that at times the other train hadn’t made it to the final section!
This is what many will class as Stress Testing, using the water dummy’s to simulate the weight of the riders and the constant dispatches to simulate normal operations. OK the dispatches wouldn’t normally be as quick as they were doing today, but the more test runs they can do the better.
I did also spot the famous MACK Car at Thorpe Park, so it’s clear that they are fully supporting Thorpe Park to get the ride operating again.
The lap bars were being checked by the rode hosts which also looked to be training other ride hosts aswell to be ready for reopening.
Of course its too early to say if it will open very soon, but I’m hopeful we might see Hyperia operating in the next week, this will be dependent on the results of the testing.
I will be doing a full video of my day tomorrow, along with footage of the testing that has been taking place!
