Today, Thorpe Park has shared a video detailing their controls in place for the opening of Hyperia, much awaited and explained by Thorpe Parks very own Alice!
Friday 24th and Saturday 25th May, the park will be open until 8pm, with tickets limited.
On arrival there will be 2 queues for the security checks.
There will then be a queue before the turnstiles and RAP holders can also pick up their ride access pass.
After this on the bridge those wishing to ride Hyperia join the queue in the left, or if you are avoiding Hyperia, join the queue on the right. Club 236 should also queue on the right.
For the Hyperia queue, Marshals will walk you through the path and holding areas. Running won’t be allowed, in addition queue jumping rules will also apply.
The Lakeside Picnic Area will have the holding area and extended queue area. The queue will be split by main queue and ride access pass. When you reach Hyperia main entrance, the queue will then split further into the single rider, fast track etc.
For the opening period, the front row queue will not be available but will come on a later date.
There will be staff in the holding area with golden high vis to provide any assistance needed.
The ride test seat won’t be available in the holding area, so if you have concerns you will need to speak to a member of staff.
When Hyperia is ready, you will be walked to the entrance on stages and the queue might stop and start during this.
Only Club 236 members will be first to ride, so no one will be taken to the rude entrance until then.
The openening ceremony will be taking place in the Hyperia Plaza, those not there, will be able to watch live on YouTube and Instagram.
During the day, the holding queue will remain in place unless the queue can be contained in the main queue. To join the queue later in the day, the holding area entrance will be at Tacotaria.
The queue will remain open until park closing time and you will be good to ride if you are in the queue!
During busy times the plaza may be closed and access to the Hyporium shop will be accessible only via the ride exit.
A further video will be released soon in regards to ride access pass.
