With just over a week to go until Hyperia opens on the 24th May, it leaves me and many thinking could it have been better?
While yes, the rollercoaster itself looks fantastic and I’m sure it will be a great ride, there is just one major thing missing from the ride itself.
While yes, there is a good entrance into the ride which is being finished off.
The queue area just feels lacking so much, in ways as many will describe, a cattle pen.
When you look at many other rides that Merlin have, they are all so much nicer looking, where aw Hyperia just appears boring
We don’t yet know what it will be like inside the ride station, as so far, Thorpe Park have managed to keep that a big secret.
There is many thoughts that spring to mind, from the recent Merlin announcement in cut backs on major spending in the UK (let’s hope that will change if Universal GB goes ahead) upto the amount that was spent at Alton Towers foe foe retheme of Nemesis and also what they have done with Forbidden Valley as a whole.
Has Merlin then realised that they don’t as such have enough budget left for the area around Hyperia which has resulted in a boring queue and area around the new ride. Let’s not forget that the planned viewing area which would have been very nice to have, is no longer going ahead.
It really feels a great shame that when we have such an amazing new rollercoaster coming, it could and in my view should be so much better.
What do you think? Do you feel that money is now trying to be saved by not having the area as amazing as it deserves to be?
