With Nemesis re-track very much underway over at Alton Towers, there has been a lot of talk recently that we will see the return during the 2023 season for Nemesis Sub-Terra.
This is actually something that was talked about a lot during the 2022 season as there has been plenty of action to be seen around the building and even the queue line time board showing ???
Further to this, during the closed season, work has been taking place in the queue line of the attraction, replacing the wooden flooring in the outdoor queue, which add’s further speculation that the ride will be coming back.
Of course, at the moment Alton Towers have kept very quiet in regards to this work, and they haven’t provided any confirmation to say that it will return, but with the new season very quickly approaching, I wouldn’t be too supprised if we hear more about this soon.
Further to this, it has been spotted that on the Alton Towers App, the building for Sub-Terra has returned on the park map, although it hasn’t been added as a ride or attraction just yet.
I also suspect that it shouldn’t be too long before we hear if Retro Squad will be returning for another year. Some recent pictures have shown that all of Retro Squad has actually remained at Alton Towers during the closed season covered up, with the exception of Roller Disco which is suspected to have already left. Will we see Roller Disco return, or will Alton Towers opt to go with a different retro ride to replace it?
One thing is for sure, I suspect that we will see Retro Squad along with the return of Sub-Terra to help with the ride’s available in the resort with Nemesis being closed for the year.
