Alton Towers Dungeon is a paid extra at Alton Towers, which lasts 45 minutes and is much like other Merlin Dungeon Attractions.
The original ride, started with Around the World in Eighty Days in 1981.
Following this in 1994 the ride was then re-themed to Toyland Tours as part of a rethem of the area which The Dungeons stands.
The attraction then was re-themed in 2006 into Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Ride.
Following this at the end of 2015, the attraction then became SBNO. Following this, it was changed into The Dungeon in 2019, and operated as an upcharge experience.
On the 3rd July 2024, the attraction then closed to make way for a brand new Scarefest Experience.
