Not that long ago, we wrote about the plan’s that Thorpe Park previously had to build a hotel on-site, but it seems that maybe, this is still a possibility for Thorpe Park’s future.

Earlier this year, Thorpe Park got an extension to keep the Shark Cabins until 2034 after, they were due to be removed in 2024.

Bear Architects who recently, developed plans for a permanent stage to be built at Thorpe Park were also involved in plans to build a 100-room hotel. Their website more interestingly did seem to indicate that planning was going to be put in during 2023 with original plans for the hotel to be built in late 2024.

As we know, no plans were submitted in 2023/2024 for the new design of hotel to be built, infact they updated their website to state:

The proposal was very well received and is currently on hold pending alignment with our clients’ development strategy.

The hotel did look rather good, although I would say not as impressive as the original plans.

We can only hope that we might see this come to light in the future, especially with hints from Thorpe Park of further developments coming in the future.

For us, we aren’t fully sure if a hotel would suit Thorpe Park, although it would be nice to have a hotel (and not shipping containers) on the doorstep to Thorpe Park.
