Recently over at PortAventura, Uncharted: The Enigma of Penitence opened which is an indoor rollercoaster dark ride.
The ride itself features many different special effects with sound, visuals and so much more without giving too much away.
Of course, with the attraction being in Spain, the audio in the ride is in Spanish sadly.
During my visit, the ride always had a large queue while it was open due to being very popular as a result of being a brand new ride, so be warned, in addition to this, the ride also seems to go down with tech issues plenty of times, further adding to waiting times for the ride.
Further to this, for some reason, PortAventura has decided to only open for a limited time during my visit, meaning that the ride opening time was until 12pm and then closed around 7pm even though the park is open until 11pm! This seemed very strange to me as the ride was very popular so I would have thought that they would have had a longer opening time to match the park hours.
For me, the ride is very thrilling and exciting with plenty of surprises along the way (not giving any away, you need to try it for yourself!) and very much worth going on.
While I was there both times while in queue they did actually open the ride earlier than 12pm which was great, although the second time there was issues with some of the ride carriages which meant that they operated in reduced capacity leading to even longer waiting times.
For me overall, its a great ride and has to be one of the best dark rides I have been on, its just a shame that the ride seems to have plenty of down time with technical issues which I guess won’t help with the queueing times.
