As a surprise which wasn’t expected, today Alton Towers have announced plans to build a new junior coaster and have submitted planning permission!
Currently it’s not yet showing online but as soon as it is, we will be sure to share the details!

We’ve submitted a planning application for a brand-new junior coaster in CBeebies Land, which we hope to open in 2026.
If approved, this new attraction will be perfect for our youngest thrill-seekers and their families to enjoy together.

We are just awaiting details to be added to the Staffordshire Planning Portal and will share further updates as soon as we can, but we do expect that the new rollercoaster will replace the Postman Pat Ride.
27th December 2024 – The planning portal now shows the planning request, however no documents are currently visible.
